Web 2.0 is a buzzword describing the next phase of the Internet. Which is linking people together, allowing them to share, trade and collaborate their ideas, thoughts, photos and videos. It creates more organized and categorized content. This Social networking allows open communication and the ability to use the market as a conversation. Some of the more popular Web 2.0 sites you may have heard of include: flickr, youtube, delicious, digg, technorati and facebook. There are many proponenents to web 2.0 some of them which include: webloggs, RSS feeds, podcasts, wiki’s, tagging and social bookmarking. On the homepage of our blog, you can click the orange “Subscribe” button

to select your preferred RSS reader. What is an RSS reader? An RSS reader is similar to an email client that pulls the updated content from any blog/website that you subscribe to. If you already have a gmail account you can sign up for Google Reader and access it right from your gmail account. So as we update content on MyGourmetOnline, you will be able to view this updated content right from your Google Reader. When you view a post on our blog, you will notice a “bookmark & share” button below every post. By clicking this button, you will be presented with a slew of sites that you can click to either bookmark or share the page you are currently on with a friend.
